Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188)

 

This is part of the business innovation and investment program, which allows you to engage in business and/or investment activity in Australia.

The visa has five streams that you may be eligible to apply for:

Business Innovation Stream (Subclass 188A)

• For people with business skills who want to establish, develop and manage a new or existing business in Australia

Investor Stream (Subclass 188B)

• If you would like to make an investment of at least AUD 1.5 million in an Australian state or territory government

Significant Investor Stream (Subclass 188C)

• If you would like to invest at least AUD 5 million in Australia and want to maintain business and investment activity in Australia

Premium Investor stream (Subclass 188D)

• If you would like to invest AUD 15 million in complying premium investments in Australia and want to maintain business and investment activity in Australia

Entrepreneur stream ( Subclass 188E)

• If you have a funding agreement from a third party for at least AUD 200,000 to undertake a complying entrepreneur activity that is proposed to lead either the commercialisation of a product or service in Australia or the development of a business in Australia

 

 

Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888)

The next stage of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa.

• This is the second stage of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa

• You can only apply for this visa if you have fulfilled the requirements of the first stage, subclass 188

• You will not need a new EOI or an invitation from your state or territory to apply. You will however need evidence of your nomination

 

Business Talent visa (subclass 132)

The visa allows you to either establish a new business or develop an existing business in Australia. You can only apply if you have been nominated by an Australian state or territory government or if you are invited to apply.

Significant Business History Stream

• Net business and personal assets of at least AUD 1.5 million and an annual business turnover of AUD 3 million.

Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream

• At least AUD 1 million in venture capital funding to start the commercialisation and development of high value business ideas in Australia.
