Employer Sponsored Workers – Subclass 482

 

The subclass 482 visa is for overseas skilled workers who have been sponsored and nominated by an Australian employer to work in Australia on a temporary basis.

The skilled position must be those listed in the 482 Skilled Occupation list.

​

The subclass 482 visa can be granted for 2-4 years.

​

The visa applicant must have a minimum 2 years post study full time experience in closely relevant occupation prior submitting the application.

​

There are three stages to employing a skilled worker under the subclass 482 visa program:

​

• employer applies to be a sponsor.

• employer nominates a position.

• employee applies for a visa.

 

Applications for each of these three stages can be submitted at the same time.
